The figure is a hybrid of the previously released Revenge of the Fallen Leader Class Optimus Prime (available domestically) along with the Wing-Gun attachments. The leader class base figure by itself is an excellent toy, one of, if not the best figure Hasbro released in the entire movie line-up. Additionally, the base Optimus is also not a direct re-release, it includes some minor remolding that was later added to the Asian release - see the abs section for one area of this.
As for the toy, I dont think that there is much debate - it's an excellent figure and worth 5 stars. Collectors will debate the deco options relative to the cost, but if you're just looking for a very cool toy, with a complex yet rewarding tranformation and like this deco, Transformers Dark of The Moon Ultimate Optimus Prime figure is highly recommended.
